Authorities aim to launch revamped Huanggang Port on October 12

Hong Kong's redeveloped Huanggang Port is targeted for launch as early as October 12, according to reports. The revamped facility is designed to implement a new joint clearance system for cross-border travellers.

Under the upcoming system, travellers will be able to complete both Hong Kong and mainland Chinese immigration procedures through a single inspection.
