More than 70 tarantulas, 20 turtles and two Bengal tigers were seized by Profepa in Chihuahua and Sinaloa

The Mexican federal environmental protection agency, Profepa, has seized a total of 95 wild animals, including dozens of tarantulas and turtles alongside two Bengal tigers, during separate operations in the states of Chihuahua and Sinaloa.

In the primary incident, authorities intercepted a passenger bus traveling along Federal Highway 45 between Ciudad Juárez and the state capital of Chihuahua. During this vehicle inspection, inspectors discovered 75 tarantulas and 20 tortoises, leading to the arrest of two individuals responsible for transporting the animals.
