About 90 Americans unaccounted for after catastrophic floods hit Nepal and Tibet

Catastrophic flash floods along the border region between China and Tibet have left approximately 90 U.S. citizens unaccounted for, according to U.S. officials. The disaster was triggered when a massive collapse of ice, mud, and rock cascaded into a mountain river in the Timure region.

The severe weather and subsequent flooding have heavily impacted tourists and travelers in the area. Among those confirmed missing are a British Columbia couple, Dhaval and Megha Shah, who were visiting the region on a tour when the disaster struck.
