Man implies he has gun before demanding money from bank employee in Fort Lauderdale, FBI says

A man wearing red sunglasses and a black beanie robbed a bank in Fort Lauderdale last week, the FBI announced Monday.According to FBI Special Agent Willie Creech, the robbery occurred at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday at a Truist bank branch, located at 501 E. Las Olas Blvd.Creech said the robber implied that he had a gun on him before demanding money from a bank employee.No injuries were reported.Creech declined to confirm the amount of money taken during the robbery.

Saturday in the 2300 block of Southwest 173rd Avenue.Police said the baby’s mother was driving and the woman’s other child was also in the vehicle.Officers said the baby was airlifted to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, where he or she later died. The mother was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood with minor injuries, according to investigators. The second child was not injured.Authorities said MPD’s Traffic Homicide Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.No other details about the crash or the family involved have been released.
