Miguel Sánchez Altamirano, the mayor of Juchitán de Zaragoza known by the alias "Quetu", arrived in Mexico City under heavy military guard following an operation in his municipality.

The transfer to the capital comes after his capture on charges of alleged extortion, a development confirmed by the Attorney General's Office.
