ARUSHA: THE celebration of France’s National Day in Arusha has highlighted the growing relationship between France and Tanzania, reflecting how diplomatic engagement between the two countries continues to expand beyond cultural exchange into broader areas of trade, investment, economic cooperation and shared development interests. Hosted by Alliance Française of Arusha recently, the Bastille Day Reception brought together more than 200 guests in an event that celebrated French culture while also symbolising the strong connections that continue to develop between France and Tanzania. The gathering formed part of wider National Day celebrations that have become an important platform for strengthening people-topeople relations, promoting cultural understanding and reinforcing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
While the event showcased French traditions through music, theatre and artistic performances, it also represented the broader partnership between France and Tanzania, where cooperation continues to grow in sectors such as business, infrastructure, tourism, education, environmental protection and investment.
