Bayern Munich’s Felipe Chávez joins Magdeburg on loan after contract extension

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder, who made his senior debut in Bayern’s 8-1 win over Wolfsburg in January, had a loan spell at Cologne in the second half of last season, coming off the bench seven times in the Bundesliga. “Pippo took the next step in his development with his appearances at Cologne and should now get regular playing time at Magdeburg. We’ve extended his contract because we believe in his potential for the future,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund.
