Bayside to Fly Easter and Greek Independence Day Flags in 2027

The Bayside Council has announced it will amend its 2027 street flag programme to fly flags for both Easter and Greek Independence Day. The decision follows a calendar overlap that places both observances within the same week.

Greek Independence Day will occur on Thursday, 25 March 2027, immediately followed by Good Friday on 26 March and Easter Sunday on 28 March. According to the council, the coincidence of these dates prompted the adjustment to the municipal flag schedule.
