Beijing tightens drone crackdown, bans possession, storage across city from Nov 15

Beijing has announced a sweeping ban on the possession and storage of drones within city limits, taking effect on November 15. Under the new regulations, residents and businesses are prohibited from owning the devices, requiring current owners to sell or dispose of their equipment prior to the deadline, or face confiscation and hefty fines.

This policy marks a significant escalation in the city's ongoing crackdown on unmanned aerial vehicles. It follows a series of progressively restrictive measures implemented by authorities, which included a ban on the sale of drones enacted earlier in May.
