Bhotekoshi floods disrupt schooling for 14,500 children in three districts

Recent floods in the Bhotekoshi river system have severely disrupted the education of 14,500 children across three districts in Nepal. More than 9,400 students are directly affected by the disaster's immediate impacts.

In addition to direct disruptions, the recovery process is being prolonged because several local schools are currently being utilized as emergency shelters. This secondary use of educational facilities is delaying the return to classes for thousands of additional students.
