NewzMANCHESTER, Jamaica — Thousands of patrons flocked to Little Ochie in Alligator Pond, Manchester, on July 12 for the 2026 staging of the Bigga Little Ochie Seafood Carnival, with organisers reporting one of the largest turnouts in the event's history. According to a news release, the festival, held under the theme “Where Legends Are Born”, surpassed attendance figures from last year's event, further cementing its reputation as one of Jamaica's premier culinary and entertainment festivals and a major attraction for both local and overseas visitors. From early morning, seafood lovers, music enthusiasts and families gathered along the south coast to enjoy a mix of Jamaican cuisine, culture and entertainment.
The event featured family-friendly activities, live performances and a wide selection of seafood. Busy Signal entertained patrons with a set featuring several of his popular hits, while Shaneil Muir drew applause with her vocal performance and stage presence.
Queen Ifrica brought the night's entertainment to a close with a performance centred on reggae music and conscious lyrics. Summer style met island charm as patrons stopped to capture the moment at the vibrant Bigga photo spot before enjoying a day of seafood music and entertainment "The response this year was simply phenomenal," the organisers said. "We welcomed even more patrons than last year, and the energy throughout the day was incredible.
