29 July 2026 Binance’s Android app has been removed from Google Play in Spain and Latvia as pressure mounts over the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. Google requires crypto exchanges targeting EU users to hold a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) authorisation. Binance does not currently hold this licence after withdrawing its MiCA application in Greece before the 1 July deadline.
The app remains available on Google Play in countries such as Poland and can still be downloaded from non-Google Android stores. The development highlights the growing regulatory pressure on major exchanges as MiCA enforcement tightens across the European Union.
