BJP retains Manjalpur seat as Satish Patel defeats Congress by over 30,000 votes

Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Satish Patel has won the Manjalpur by-election, defeating Congress nominee Bhikhabhai Rabari by a margin of over 30,000 votes. The election was necessitated by the passing of the incumbent BJP MLA, Yogesh Patel.

With this result, the Bharatiya Janata Party has successfully retained the seat. The victory brings the party's total representation in the Gujarat Assembly to 162 members.
