KINGSTON, Jamaica — Controversial blogger Milton “119” Wray has lost an early skirmish in the defamation battle with Patrice Hussey-Malcolm, widow of broadcaster Dervan Malcolm. The Supreme Court has ordered the controversial blogger to make seven videos on his YouTube channel unavailable to the public. Justice Tara Carr granted interim relief without objection at an October 15 hearing attended by both parties.

Wray represented himself, while attorney Mikhail H R Williams appeared for Hussey-Malcolm. Under the order, Wray must make the seven videos—and any copies, edits or re-uploads—private within 24 hours of being served. He must also take all steps within his power to disable their further distribution pending determination of the claim.

By October 23, he must disclose on affidavit the extent of publication, including posting dates, platforms and accounts used, and identify recipients to whom the material was sent or forwarded. Hussey-Malcolm filed the claim on September 18, alleging that Wray’s publications damaged her reputation and exposed her to harassment and distress. She denied the allegations about her marriage and private life and is seeking significant damages, a correction and an apology.

Wray previously rejected the action as an attempt to “save face”. Wray had previously objected to the injunction but did not further oppose the injunction request in this latest round of legal jujitsu. The injunction is an interim measure, not a final finding that Wray defamed Hussey-Malcolm.

The claim remains to be determined, with a pre-trial review and case management session scheduled for April 22, 2027. The Supreme Court has ordered Wray to make seven videos on his YouTube channel unavailable to the public.
