Road blockades and accidents today, May 5: traffic returns to normal in Mariano Escobedo after the presence of protesters

Traffic and mobility disruptions occurred in Mexico City due to demonstrations and traffic accidents across different locations. In one incident, circulation normalized on Calzada Mariano Escobedo at Laguna de Mayrán in the Anáhuac neighborhood, Miguel Hidalgo borough, following the departure of protesters with the intervention of CDMX political concertation authorities.

Simultaneously, intermittent protests took place on Avenida Ejército Nacional near Lago Xochimilco, though demonstrators eventually cleared the area permanently and traffic restrictions were lifted. Additionally, a separate traffic accident was reported at Manuel González and Eje Central in the Ex Hipódromo de Peralvillo neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc borough.
