Road closures and accidents today, Tuesday, May 19: Main streets and avenues of Valle de Chalco flooded

Throughout various dates including May 19, April 30, and April 24, significant transportation disruptions occurred in Mexico City (CDMX) and surrounding regions due to protests, marches, vehicle accidents, and severe weather conditions. Main streets and avenues in Valle de Chalco experienced major flooding, while other incidents involved a march by the Comunidad Politécnica from Allende station toward the SEP, demonstrations closing Avenida México Tenochtitlan at Eje 1 Poniente, and traffic caused by water accumulation on Avenida Tláhuac.

Additional regional disruptions reported during this period included a driver and taxi protest blocking access to the airport in Jalisco, and a tanker truck rollover on the Naucalpan-Toluca highway which required emergency response and crane removal operations. Capital authorities coordinated traffic management and offered alternative routes, such as utilizing Avenida in response to the Eje 1 Norte closures.
