BMC to hold third-party probe into Chembur tree crash death

Mumbai civic body will conduct a new third-party inquiry into a child's death. This follows political dissatisfaction with the initial report's findings. The original inquiry had absolved BMC garden and roads department officials.

However, the contractor and consultant faced allegations of negligence in the earlier probe. Three BMC officers have already been suspended pending impartial investigation results.
