Bodies of two hikers missing for decades found after Swiss glacier melts

The bodies of two Belgian men who went missing in the Swiss Alps in 1992 have been discovered on the Trift Glacier, south of Lucerne. A hiker found the remains on July 26, prompting police and officials to confirm the identities through DNA analysis.

The recovery of the hikers was made possible after the Trift Glacier receded and melted, exposing the bodies decades after the men originally disappeared.
