The PP lashes out at Bolaños after accusing the CGPJ of "corporatism" for dismissing his complaint against Judge Peinado

Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts, Félix Bolaños, has formally challenged the decision of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) to dismiss a complaint against Judge Juan Carlos Peinado. Bolaños criticized the judicial body's refusal to open disciplinary proceedings or sanction the judge, characterizing the decision as a product of institutional "conservatism" and "corporatism."

In response, the Partido Popular (PP), led by secretary general Miguel Tellado, has condemned Bolaños's remarks. The PP views the minister's public criticism of the CGPJ as an inappropriate attack on the judiciary, framing the government's reaction as an attempt to undermine the independence of the judicial oversight body following the dismissal of the complaint.
