Braxton Ashcraft works 8 efficient innings, Oneil Cruz homers as Pirates top Tigers

Braxton Ashcraft pitched eight efficient innings and Oneil Cruz hit a home run to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Following the performance, it was noted that Ashcraft became the first Pittsburgh pitcher since A.J. Burnett in 2012 to record a complete game and subsequently pitch at least eight innings in his next start.
