Brazil Supreme Court upholds laws that led to downfall of Amazon soy moratorium

On Wednesday, Brazil’s Supreme Court issued a ruling that upholds state laws denying tax incentives to farmers who adhere to the Amazon soy moratorium. The moratorium is a voluntary agreement that prohibits the purchase of soy grown on land deforested within the Amazon rainforest.
