Masai Russell breaks Amusan’s World Record as Nigerian finishes second in Zurich

American athlete Masai Russell established a new world record in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Diamond League meet in Zurich, Switzerland, on Thursday. The 26-year-old Olympic champion finished the race in 12.09 seconds.
This performance surpasses the previous world record of 12.12 seconds, which was held by Nigeria's Tobi Amusan. Amusan set the former record at the 2022 World Championships in Eugene.
