Tested intact during the NTT earthquake, BRIN encourages commercialization of modular homes

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is moving to commercialize and initiate mass production of modular housing technology. The initiative follows the successful performance of the structures during a recent earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), where the units remained intact despite the seismic activity.

By transitioning from research to large-scale production, BRIN aims to make these earthquake-resistant housing solutions widely available. The project is positioned as a strategic effort to provide resilient infrastructure capable of withstanding similar natural disasters in the future.
