Good Governance investigates possible Aeromexico data leak involving more than 15 million records

The Secretariat of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (SABG) of Mexico announced on September 20, 2026, that it has identified evidence of a potential data breach involving more than 15 million records. The agency issued Communiqué No. 111, stating that the exposed information appears to be linked to a system associated with the airline Aeroméxico.

Authorities are currently investigating the extent of the exposure to determine the nature of the personal data involved. The government alert follows the initial detection of the system vulnerability, marking a significant development in the protection of consumer data within the Mexican aviation sector.
