Businessman to use $258.5m Super Lotto winnings to change family’s life

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A Jamaican businessman is looking to turn his life-changing $258.5 million Super Lotto jackpot win into a brighter future for his family and a major boost for the business he has spent years building. A Byfield became the latest Super Lotto jackpot winner after matching the numbers drawn in June: 6, 12, 14, 18, 21 and Super Ball 2. For Byfield, the win came unexpectedly after he broke from his usual routine of purchasing Lotto tickets on Tuesdays and Fridays. Instead, he decided to buy a Super Lotto ticket.

Byfield said he discovered he was the lucky winner while visiting his regular lottery retailer to purchase another ticket. Upon arrival, he learned that someone from that very location had won the Super Lotto jackpot. Moments later, he realised the winner was him.

Byfield stands proudly holding his cheque for a staggering JM$258,500,000. Jamaica's newest Super Millionaire struck the massive Super Lotto jackpot after a prophetic dream prompted him to purchase the winning ticket. “Thank you, Jesus!” were his first words.

“My workers were looking at me, with no idea what had just happened, but all I could say was ‘Yes! Byfield’s first call was to his wife. A devoted family man, Byfield said his biggest priority is using the winnings to improve his family’s quality of life.

For him, the jackpot is not just about financial freedom, but about creating opportunities and securing a better future. “This win means I can finally put real resources behind the business I've been building,” Byfield said. “It also means my family won't have to worry the way we used to, and that's the part that means the most to me.” Chief Executive Officer of Supreme Ventures Gaming, Stefan Miller, congratulated Byfield on the win.
