Cables take over the landscape in the streets of Santo Domingo

The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel), the National District City Council (ADN), and the Unified Council of Electricity Distribution Companies (CUED) launched a collaborative initiative on Thursday in Santo Domingo. The project, titled “Retiro, Reubicación y Reorganización de Cableado de Telecomunicaciones,” aims to address the proliferation of overhead cables that currently obstruct the city's urban landscape.

This joint effort seeks to improve urban aesthetics and infrastructure safety by removing, relocating, and reorganizing telecommunications wiring throughout the capital. The initiative marks a coordinated inter-institutional response to the long-standing issue of disorganized cabling in public spaces.
