Cairo’s Egyptian Museum completes restoration, relocation of Ramesses II basalt stele

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo has finalized the restoration and relocation of a basalt stele belonging to the pharaoh Ramesses II. The artifact has been integrated into a new display arrangement within the museum, where it is now positioned between two existing stelae that also depict the monarch.

According to the museum’s director-general, this move is part of a broader initiative to reorganize the museum’s collection. The updated display is intended to enhance the presentation of the artifacts by grouping them thematically.
