Business chambers in Guatemala are asking the Executive Branch to declare a State of Prevention to clear roads, while 14 blockades are reported.

On Friday, September 11, Guatemala experienced 14 roadblocks affecting various routes and urban zones across the country.

In response to the disruptions, major business organizations—including the Chamber of Commerce of Guatemala, the Guatemalan Association of Exporters, and the Guatemalan-American Chamber of Commerce—formally requested the Executive branch to declare a State of Prevention aimed at clearing the blocked thoroughfares.
