Farmers protest the damming of the interoceanic canal and the closure of cemeteries

On Monday, groups of campesinos marched to the Supreme Court of Justice in Panama City to protest against the construction of a new reservoir.

The demonstrators voiced their opposition to the planned flooding of their lands, as well as the closure and relocation of eight local cemeteries resulting from the reservoir project linked to the interoceanic canal.
