Canada’s measles cases are half of U.S. total, despite smaller population: WHO

According to the World Health Organization, Canada has recorded a significant number of measles cases, reaching approximately half of the United States' total despite having a substantially smaller population. This development comes as global measles figures continue to rise.

Worldwide, roughly 186,000 measles cases were reported globally as of July. This figure represents a 12 per cent increase in cases compared to the same period in the previous year, highlighting an ongoing international trend of growing measles transmission.
