Authorities have begun the process of dismantling a local fish processing plant, which served as the source of the pervasive smell.

The site previously contained approximately 1.25 million liters of fish sauce, a substance that had been left to decay. Local residents have long campaigned for the removal of the facility, describing the intensity of the odor as extreme.
