Candelaria Delgado, the regional Minister of Social Welfare, stated that the autonomous community rejects involvement because these procedures fall under the jurisdiction of the state.

In a separate development within the United States, a small Texas law firm with ties to the administration of President Donald Trump declined a $150 million federal contract. The agreement would have involved representing unaccompanied minor migrants who entered the country without adult supervision.
