Capsizings cause the deaths of 12 migrants off Greek islands

On Monday, the Greek coast guard reported that a dozen migrants died in separate speedboat capsizings off the Greek islands of Lesbos and Samos. Among the fatalities was an infant.

Six of the deaths occurred when a speedboat carrying Syrian and Palestinian migrants struck the port side of a Greek coast guard vessel.
