Three individuals suspected of belonging to the criminal group known as “Los Merry” were arrested by the Peruvian National Police (PNP). The suspects are accused of kidnapping and extorting a money lender, demanding a payment of S/5,000 to secure the victim's release.

The operation followed a formal complaint filed by the victim, which triggered the police investigation into the group's activities. Authorities are currently processing the detainees as part of the ongoing criminal inquiry into the extortion scheme.
