Almost half of the vehicles imported to the Dominican Republic were SUVs

During the first seven months of the year, vehicle imports in the Dominican Republic experienced positive growth with the entry of 84,544 transportation units. Nearly half of all the vehicles imported into the country during this period consisted of yipetas (SUVs).

The majority of the imported units were second-hand vehicles. This influx of imported transport units has translated directly into active sales within the domestic automotive sector.
