Authorities captured alias John Bayron, a suspected member of the support network for the illegal Adán Izquierdo front, following a recent attack on a police substation in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. The joint operation by the National Police and the Army took place in a rural area of El Cerrito.

During his arrest, the suspect attempted to bribe law enforcement officers by offering one million pesos to avoid detention.
