Centcom: IRGC forces behind Jordan attack targeted in eighth round of strikes The US military said it carried out an eighth consecutive night of strikes on Iran late on Saturday, targeting defence facilities and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces who launched the attacks on US service members in Jordan on Friday. In a statement, Centcom said coastal surveillance and air defence facilities, maritime capabilities, and missile and drone storage sites were targeted during the strikes that were "intended to further degrade Iran's military capabilities". Two US service members were killed in Iranian attacks on a US military facility in Jordan on 17 July.
