Central Province PS pledges to address human-elephant conflict

Central Province Permanent Secretary Milner Mwanakampwe has announced that the Zambian government is intensifying efforts to mitigate the human-elephant conflict affecting the Ngabwe and Kapiri Mposhi districts. The initiative involves relocating elephant populations that have been causing significant damage to residential properties, crop fields, and maize storage facilities in the region.

To facilitate these relocation efforts, the government has secured the assistance of the Zambia Air Force. This intervention aims to address the ongoing destruction of local infrastructure and food supplies caused by the wildlife, marking a coordinated governmental response to the regional conflict.
