Save the Children warns of the serious risk of neglect for many children in Ceuta

On Monday, August 3, Save the Children warned of a severe risk that numerous migrant minors are remaining outside the official protection system in Ceuta following a recent surge in arrivals. The alert highlights growing concerns over the welfare and safety of these children as they navigate the local jurisdiction.

Simultaneously, local authorities in Ceuta reported that their centers and extraordinary resources are currently housing 862 minors. However, officials acknowledge that many other youths who entered the city on July 30 have yet to request assistance or remain uncontacted on the streets.
