Ceuta buries 18 bodies of migrants out of the more than 80 accumulated at the Military Hospital

Authorities in the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta began an extraordinary operation on Friday to inter 18 migrants who died while attempting to enter the territory by swimming. These individuals are part of a group of more than 80 bodies currently held in a provisional morgue established at the local Military Hospital.

The burials are being conducted as part of a special logistical effort to manage the high volume of fatalities resulting from recent migration attempts. The city has been working to address the accumulation of remains that have overwhelmed standard facilities.
