China's first automated port railway link starts operation in Xiamen

China's first dedicated railway line for sea-rail intermodal transport began operating on Tuesday at Xiamen Yuandu Port in Fujian Province. The infrastructure project establishes the country's inaugural automated port railway link.

According to COSCO Shipping, the newly opened line is designed to streamline logistics and cargo movement between maritime and rail networks at the Fujian Province port facility.
