China y Rusia vetan una resolución en el Consejo de Seguridad que pedía reimponer sanciones a Irán

China and Russia have exercised their veto power in the United Nations Security Council against a resolution spearheaded by the United States. The blocked measure sought to reactivate the mandate of Committee 1737, which was originally established in 2006 to oversee international sanctions imposed on Iran.

The vote took place on Thursday within the Security Council, effectively halting the American-backed initiative to reimpose the supervisory mechanisms on Tehran's disputed activities through the UN body.
