Scientists observe Einstein's gravity in the quantum world

An international team of scientists has observed for the first time an effect of Einstein's gravity on a quantum object in free fall, bridging the traditionally distinct realms of classical and quantum physics. The research was led by an international collaboration that included the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel, the University of Ulm in Germany, and the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Among the members of the research team is Professor Sir Roger Penrose, a physicist and Nobel Prize winner. The observation confirms a long-predicted interaction between gravity and quantum objects, marking a significant milestone in physics by demonstrating gravitational effects at the quantum scale.
