Colonial City and its new pilot plan for traffic

Starting Monday, August 17, authorities in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, are launching a traffic-calming pilot plan in the Ciudad Colonial. The initiative aims to restrict through-traffic within the most monumental polygon of the historic zone.

The primary objective of the new regulatory measure is to prioritize the mobility and safety of local residents, visitors, and pedestrians over vehicular through-traffic.
