Colonial City and its new pilot plan for traffic

Starting Monday, August 17, authorities in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, are launching a traffic-calming pilot plan in the Ciudad Colonial. The initiative is designed to limit through-traffic within the area's most monumental polygon.

The primary objective of the new traffic measure is to prioritize the mobility of local residents, visitors, and pedestrians over general vehicular through-traffic.
