Clients owe Tanzania water authorities 83.9bn/- in outstanding water bills

Water customers across Tanzania have accumulated a total of 83.9 billion Tanzanian shillings in outstanding water bills. The figure was officially revealed during a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water and Environment held within the parliamentary premises in Dodoma.

The substantial debt represents unpaid water bills owed to authorities nationwide. The disclosure brings renewed attention to revenue collection challenges within the country's public utility sector as lawmakers review the financial status of water authorities.
