‘You should be ashamed’: MP responds to Hegseth post about Vernon Cadet officers

Canadian Member of Parliament Scott Anderson has publicly rebuked U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth following a social media post by Hegseth targeting the Canadian military. In response to Hegseth's post, which featured an image of Canadian military personnel, Anderson stated that while Canadians and Americans should have no problem with each other, he took direct issue with Hegseth, telling him he should be ashamed.

The controversy also drew criticism from American actor George Clooney, who publicly questioned Hegseth's sense of decency over the social media post, asking what was wrong with the Defense secretary for mocking Canada's armed forces.
