CNG cools diesel and petrol inflation rates in Tanzania

The Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) has announced that the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is successfully mitigating the impact of rising diesel and petrol prices across Tanzania.

According to Marie Msellemu, Head of TPDC's Public Relations and Communications Unit, the shift toward CNG has played a direct role in cooling inflation rates for traditional fossil fuels. The initiative highlights ongoing efforts in the country to diversify energy sources and ease financial pressures on consumers facing high petroleum costs.
