Trial in the Jet Set case adjourned until September 4

Judge Franny González of the Fourth Penal Chamber of the National District has adjourned the trial against Antonio and Maribel Espaillat until September 4. The legal proceedings concern the collapse of the Jet Set nightclub, an incident that took place on April 8, 2025.

Separately, the National Council of the Magistracy (CNM) has scheduled a meeting for September 8 to continue the performance evaluations of seven judges from the Supreme Court of Justice. This session follows a recent meeting held by the council to advance the ongoing judicial review process.
