CNTT calls for investigation into the whereabouts of buses and fuel subsidies

Juan Marte, president of the Central Nacional de Trabajadores del Transporte (CNTT), has formally requested that the new director of the Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant) launch an investigation into the status of 27 imported buses. The request centers on determining the current location and operational status of these vehicles, which were reportedly brought into the country for public transport integration.

In addition to the inquiry regarding the buses, the CNTT has called for an audit of fuel subsidies associated with the transport sector. The request highlights concerns regarding the management and allocation of resources intended for transit improvements and operational support within the Dominican Republic.
